Email for Community Server

You have installed Community Server 2.1 and now you need to configure it to send email.

First of all, we only allow you to send authenticated email through our SMTP mail server so you must first setup your email domain so you will have a valid email account for validation.

1. Setup your email at Aquest Hosting if this hasn't been done.
   • Login the Aquest control panel.
   • Go to the 'Email' page.
   • Create your email domain.
2. Setup Email Settings in Community Server.
   • Use SMTP Authentication: true
   • SMTP Server: hostmail.aquesthosting.com
   • Port: 25
   • Authentication Required: true
   • User Name: [your full email address used to login to SmarterMail]
   • Password: [your password used to login SmarterMail]

   Note: The SMTP server above (hostmail.aquesthosting.com) is only accessible by code running on our servers, so if you are running code on a computer not on our network, you need to use your own SMTP server address.
